Welcome to The Redemption Mission.

Chances are you have arrived at this page because someone handed you some information or literature, or maybe someone directed you here.

In any case, we are very glad you chose to visit us today.

There is not a moment to lose. God may require your life at any minute, including the very next minute.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2.

Salvation is being saved from your sins by repenting of them (turning away from them) and trusting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and living to please Him, not yourself anymore.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9.

********

But saved from what?

Saved from sin. Sin is breaking God’s law.

We need to be saved from our sins as the Bible, and especially the Ten Commandments (see Exodus 20), lay out for us. If you’ve told even one lie you are considered a sinner and a lawbreaker in God’s eyes.

To make matters even more dire, the Bible tells us that if we’ve broken one commandment we are guilty of breaking them all.

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
James 2:10.

We are ALL sinners in a desperate situation.

********

Why do we need to place our faith in Jesus?

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.”
1 Peter 3:18.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me.”
John 14:6.

The first man, Adam, and his wife Eve, disobeyed God by eating fruit from a tree that God expressly told them was off limits. This brought sin into the realm of human existence and corrupted God’s perfect creation.

“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
Genesis 2:16-17.

But Jesus has paid the price for our sins. Jesus took the punishment for our sin and disobedience to God when he suffered and died on the cross.

Three days later, Jesus rose from the grave, triumphant over sin and death.

“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead.”
Matthew 28:6-7.

By his death and resurrection, Jesus has made it possible for all of us to be reconciled with God in heaven, if we accept by faith this gift.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”
Romans 5:8-10.

********

God doesn’t send anyone to hell, everyone chooses his or her own eternal destiny by accepting or rejecting the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Ask yourself right now… Are you interested in spending eternity with God in Heaven, or would you rather be in torment for all of eternity in hell?

We cannot save ourselves from sin, and God’s wrath abides on us. Only faith in Jesus will save us.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 3:36.

The choice is yours. Will you accept Jesus Christ’s gift of salvation?
